DPT LEGS : LOWER EXTREMITY GAINS AND SPEED
A RETURN TO SPORTS CLASS
Introducing our DeWitt PT LEGS series
LEGS: LOWER EXTREMITY GAINS AND SPEED
A RETURN TO SPORTS CLASS!
This 12-class series is designed for those with ACL and other lower extremity injuries (knee, hip, or ankle) who are looking to return to sport, but don’t quite feel back to 100%. Utilizing a mix of strength, plyometrics, and metabolic conditioning, we help participants build coordination, power, and athletic capacity to get back to the sport of their choosing.
As Physical Therapists, we know how difficult it can be to navigate injuries and surgery, and know when one is ready to go back to a respective sport. We also know how beneficial and important skilled movement and exercise is to returning to a full and active lifestyle. We see it all the time in the clinic and the research continues to support it. But historically in rehab, patients are often discharged without being physically prepared to return to sports, due to deficiencies like quadriceps and hamstrings weakness, poor stability, and a lack of training for returning to their specific sport. Our classes are developed around ACL protocols by Physical Therapists from DeWitt PT.
This program is developed through current evidenced-based research by Physical Therapists from DeWitt PT, designed to improve patient outcomes when it comes to getting back to the sports and things they love to do. Classes are kept to small and intimate groups to promote individual care and guidance.
Here at DeWitt PT, we have successfully transitioned people into training environments, from yoga to CrossFit, since we opened in 2011. Now we want to open this training experience to everyone in our Santa Cruz Community looking to bridge the gap from rehab to a successful and thriving return to sport.
