We've electrified our PT practice with the Neufit NEUBIE!
The NeuFit NEUBIE is a Direct Current Electrical Stimulation device that has a profound effect on the nervous system; helping to decrease pain, increase function and optimize the nervous system for optimal healing and performance enhancement.
We've been in the rehab world for quite a while and have never seen such incredible results so quickly with any other device, and decided to add it to our world class physical therapy services.
We have been blown away by the results we’re seeing in the clinic and are the ONLY provider in Santa Cruz and the Central Coast.
From chronic pain and identifying areas of dysfunction, to increasing strength and performance, the Neubie can accelerate our rehab and fitness results.
Combining the Neubie with our cutting-edge treatment here at DeWitt PT, we can help our patients feel, move and perform better, faster than ever before.
We're excited to share the Neubie with our patients at DPT -

Neubie FAQ
IS IT THE SAME AS A TENS UNIT OR E-STIM?
NO! Those use alternating current where the Neubie uses direct current. The way our nerves are designed is like a direct current device, so it is using a familiar signal and “language” in applying stimulation to your muscles and nerves.
WHO CAN NOT USE THE NEUBIE?
Patients currently undergoing active cancer treatment, patients who are in remission should be cleared by their MD to use this device
Anyone with a pacemaker.
WHAT KIND OF TREATMENTS ARE AVAILABLE?
Neubie Add-On - Additional 30 minutes added to appointment
To get the most out of a Neubie Session, a patient can choose to extend their appointment to a full hour.
This increases the impact the Neubie + PT combination can have, with the goal of decreasing the overall length of care and maximizing function and outcomes.
DPT + Neubie - 60 minutes
Offered for those out of network or wanting general wellness, fitness and performance enhancement.
Each 60-minute session is one-on-one with the same PT, using a combination of DPT Physical Therapy and Corrective Exercises enhanced with the use of the Neubie to decrease pain, restore and strengthen movement patterns, balance asymmetries and improve overall function and performance.
IS IT COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?
NEUBIE services are self-pay. Our services usually qualify for many clients who have FSA or HSA options, and those accounts can be used. Upon request, a superbill for physical therapy services using the Neubie can be provided with the correct ICD-10 and CPT codes so that you can submit your claim to your insurance company for reimbursement (except for Medicare beneficiaries).
Please note that not all insurance companies will reimburse for your claim. It is best to call your insurance company ahead of time to determine whether or not your claims are eligible for reimbursement. For this, you will need to determine your out-of-network physical therapy benefit and whether your insurance company will reimburse for direct access physical therapy visits. If they will not, you may need to have a referral from a physician to collect reimbursement.
